How were moldavites formed?

Moldavites were formed after a meteorite impact 15 milion years ago. The meteorite fell in the area of Germany and it ejected a huge mixture of sediments that began to melt in the air under high pressure and temperature from the impact. This molten mixture began to fall to the ground, mostly in the area of today's Czech Republic. And that's how the moldavites appeared in Czechia.
They are classified as tektites because of the type of formation. Tektites are generally formed in a similar way to moldavites, i.e. under high pressure and temperature. Apart from moldavites, the most famous tektites are Libyan glass, indochinites and australites.
